Bec Paton

Bec Paton is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience in product design and research across several prominent companies. Currently serving as Senior Director of Product Design & Research at Roblox since July 2022, Bec previously held the position of Director of Product Design & Research at Amazon and led the design team for AWS CX. Prior roles include Product Design Manager at Meta and Senior CX Manager at Westpac. Bec's foundational experience includes founding Equilibrium Design and serving as an academic lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney. An accomplished educator, Bec has taught design methodologies and human-centered design principles. Bec holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Bachelor's degrees in Graphic Design and Systems Engineering from The Australian National University and the University of Canberra, in addition to a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University and a PhD in Design from the University of Technology Sydney.
