Andy Wright is currently the Vice President of Software Development & Architecture at Robots and Pencils. Andy has previously held positions as the Chief Software Architect at Acatar and Lead Software Engineer at UPMC. Andy has also worked as a Systems Analyst at Starbucks.

Andy Wright has always been interested in technology and how it can be used to solve problems. Andy started their career as a systems analyst at Starbucks, where they helped to develop workflows and solutions that met compliance standards. Andy then moved on to UPMC, where they were the lead software engineer. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing the needs of large, distributed organizations and developing user-friendly solutions to meet their compliance requirements.

In January 2013, Andy Wright joined Acatar as a founding team member and the chief technical leader. In this role, they directed architectural design, engineering standards, scalability, and cloud hosting strategies. Andy also played a key role in The Learning House’s acquisition of Acatar.

Since joining Robots and Pencils as the Vice President of Software Development & Architecture, Andy Wright has continued to help the company grow and meet the needs of its clients. Andy has been instrumental in developing the company’s software development and architecture practices, and they continue to look for ways to improve the company’s products and services.

Andy Wright began their educational career by attending the University of Pittsburgh.

They work with Todd Sbarro - COO, Brano Tomic - Account Director, and Thomas Fisher - Director, Growth & Innovation. Andy Wright reports to Tracey Zimmerman, President & CEO.
