Kristy Andersen, PsyD

Kristy Andersen, PsyD has over 20 years of experience in higher education operational roles. In 2020, they became a Business Consultant at Robots and Pencils, a digital innovation firm. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Doctoral Candidate at Ashford University, researching the topic of perceived student user experience associated with mobile learning within the context of higher education. From 2015 to 2019, they were Vice President of Student Services at The Art Institutes, responsible for providing strategic, tactical, and people-oriented leadership across Student Services and the broader institution. From 2011 to 2015, they were Vice President of Student Services at Bridgepoint Education, Ashford University, where they led a ~50MM P/L, 700 employee division. From 2008 to 2011, they were Director of Student Services at Bridgepoint Education, University of the Rockies, where they created and implemented an accessible and scalable student support model. From 2007 to 2008, they were Executive Director at Alta Colleges, Test Services, Inc., The Princeton Review, where they executed complete oversight for The Princeton Review franchise. From 2000 to 2007, they were Director of Retention, Director of Enrollment Management, and Director of Student Affairs; Adjunct Instructor at Alta Colleges, Westwood College Online. From 1998 to 2000, they were a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado.

Kristy Andersen, PsyD, completed their education history with a Doctor of Psychology in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University in 1998. Kristy also earned a BA in Psychology from Quincy University in 1997, an AA and AS in General Studies from Iowa Western Community College in 1995, and a Diploma from Atlantic High School in 1993.
