Quinn Thomson is the Mobile Practice Lead at Robots and Pencils. Quinn has previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, where they graded and provided feedback for technical writing and oral presentations from PhD and MSc students in the biomedical engineering program. Quinn has also worked as a Project Coordinator at IMV Projects, where they tracked and managed requests for information (RFIs) and the change orders between IMV, the construction contractor and the client company. Quinn also tracked construction progress through daily reports from the on site construction manager, analyzed the construction progress and compared to original schedule for forecasting purposes. Prior to their work at IMV Projects, Quinn worked as a Technical Assistant at Hunterwood Technologies, where they designed and improved agricultural compacting equipment using physical modeling within Solidworks CAD software, and created engineering drawings used to manufacture the product.
Quinn Thomson has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary, a MASc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. Quinn Thomson is certified by The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as a P. Eng.
