Alessandro Barbato

Alessandro Barbato is a distinguished software engineer with over a decade of experience in digital health solutions, primarily at Roche from September 2012 to July 2024, where Alessandro held the title of Distinguished Software Engineer (Director). In this role, Alessandro led a team of senior solution architects while actively contributing to backend systems and mobile development, particularly in iOS with Swift. Prior positions at Roche included Senior Software Engineering Manager, overseeing more than 50 engineers focusing on the strategy and design of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions, as well as Principal Software Architect, where Alessandro defined technical vision for various digital health applications.
