Habib Baghirov

Habib Baghirov is a Scientific Lead (IT Expert) at Roche since July 2018, specializing in biomedical imaging and image analysis, and co-leading the digital therapeutics network since 2022. Prior roles at Roche include Senior Scientific Business Analyst, focusing on digital medicine for neurodegenerative diseases, and Roche Postdoctoral Fellow, developing a blood-brain barrier model. Before Roche, Habib held a Postdoctoral Researcher position at University College Cork, investigating nanotherapeutics for brain disorders, and interned at AbbVie, focusing on nanoparticle characterization. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, a PhD in Medical Technology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and additional degrees in Biomedical Imaging and Medicine.
