Ralf Altenburger

Ralf Altenburger is an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Global Head of Cell and Gene Therapy at Roche, as well as holding various other senior roles in Pharma Technical, including Regulatory and Innovation. Prior to Roche, Ralf Altenburger was with Novartis Pharma AG, where responsibilities included Franchise Head of Global Technical Research and Development and Head of Pharmaceutical Research and Development. Earlier in their career, Ralf Altenburger worked at Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany, as Head of Formulation for Oral Forms and Laboratory Head in Pharmaceutical Development. Ralf Altenburger holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from The Philipp University of Marburg, acquired between 1995 and 1998.
