Shang Xue

Shang Xue is a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Roche, with experience in bioinformatics and software development spanning from September 2020 to the present, having previously held the role of Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at the same company. Prior to Roche, Shang Xue worked as a Software Developer at IBM from July 2017 to September 2020, where responsibilities included implementing data input pipelines for genomic data and developing metrics for tumor mutation burden in immunotherapies. Shang Xue also gained experience as a Research Assistant at NC State University and served as a Watson Health Genomics Bioinformatician at IBM for a brief period in 2016. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and a Master's degree in Statistics, both obtained from North Carolina State University between 2012 and 2017.
