Tamara Maric

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Tamara Maric is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Roche since September 2022, focusing on the development of a non-invasive imaging platform for monitoring intracellular bacterial infections in vitro and in vivo. Previously, Tamara held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL from November 2015 to May 2021, where methods to measure biomarker activity in vivo and in clinical samples were established, along with an investigation into the impact of dietary nutrients on H2S metabolism. Tamara also served as a Doctoral Assistant during this time, developing tools for imaging metabolic fluxes and creating a novel approach for real-time bioluminescent quantification of metabolite uptake in vivo. Earlier experience includes a Master's thesis at the Jozef Stefan Institute in 2014-2015, focusing on the construction and characterization of a cathepsin B and p11 complex. Tamara Maric holds a PhD in Chemical Biology from EPFL and has a Master’s degree from the University of Ljubljana, complemented by an Erasmus semester at Maynooth University in Tumor Biology, Immunology, and Translational Biology.
