Maria Cortes

Maria Cortes has extensive experience in proposal development and research administration, currently serving as the Director of Proposal Development at the Rochester Institute of Technology since March 2006. This role involves managing operations for the pre-award team, leading complex grant proposals, budget creation, and project management. Prior to this, Maria held the position of Senior Research Administrator, supporting faculty in securing funding. Previous roles include Grants Coordinator at Nazareth College and Director of Programs at the Puerto Rican Youth Development and Resource Center, Inc., where oversight of government-funded initiatives for Latino youth was provided. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Professional Studies with an Advanced Certificate in Big Data Analytics from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SUNY Brockport. Additionally, Maria is pursuing Master's level coursework in Business Administration and Management at Nazareth University.
