Andy Greenway

Andy Greenway has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andy began their career as a Sales Assistant at Games Stores Ltd, where they received training in customer service and held various responsibilities related to store policies and merchandising.

Andy then joined Aberystwyth University and worked part-time as an Advisory in the Information Services department, providing technical support to staff and students. Andy also served as a Desktop Systems employee during their year-in-industry placement, troubleshooting computer issues and managing support calls.

After completing their studies, Andy worked at AmRic Ltd as a Sandwich Artist and later became a Team Leader. In this role, they were responsible for producing sandwiches and managing shifts, as well as handling end-of-day closing and banking procedures.

Moving into the IT field, Andy joined Information Services at Aberystwyth University again, this time in a supervisory role for the IT helpdesk. Andy provided first-line support and diagnosis for IT issues and was responsible for training and supervising industrial year students.

Andy then transitioned to a position at Admiral Lord Nelson School as an ICT Technician and System Administrator. Andy supported a large number of students and computers, managed server virtualization, and played a key role in the migration to Windows 7.

Next, at Upper Shirley High School, Andy served as the IT Services Manager. Andy was the sole Systems Administrator, managed the department, and maintained the network infrastructure.

Returning to Admiral Lord Nelson School, Andy took on the role of Education Transformation Manager. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, they were responsible for guiding the school's technology investment and long-term planning. During the Covid-19 lockdowns, they successfully led the implementation of remote learning.

In their most recent position at Convey Law, Andy worked as a Senior IT Technician. Andy created an online training and knowledge sharing site, implemented an Asset Management system, and enhanced the organization's IT support capabilities.

Currently, Andy is employed as a Senior Technology Consultant at ROCK.

From 1989 to 2001, Andy attended St. John's School in Porthcawl, where they obtained their GCSE degree.

Afterward, from 2001 to 2003, they studied at Porthcawl Comprehensive, where they completed their A-Level degree.

Finally, Andy attended Aberystwyth University from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence.

Additionally, Andy obtained Google certifications from Google for Education. In April 2021, they achieved both the Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.
