Andy Murtagh MSc MBCS

Andy Murtagh MSc MBCS has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andy currently holds the role of Director of Technology at ROCK since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Development Director from September 2016 to September 2020, and as the Technical Development Manager from April 2015 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked as the Operations Manager at ROCK from January 2014 to April 2015, where they had overall responsibility for IT-related operations and played a key role in developing new business functions. Before that, Andy was the Project Manager at ROCK from November 2011 to January 2014, managing infrastructure projects and ensuring they met revenue and quality targets. Andy began their career as a Project Implementation Engineer at ROCK from July 2011 to November 2011, specializing in virtualized hyperconverged infrastructures.

Prior to joining ROCK, Andy worked as an Operations Manager at Venus Marketing from September 2010 to July 2011. Andy also served as a Senior Banking Consultant at Lloyds Banking Group from November 2007 to September 2010, where they were responsible for providing a high-quality service to Premier Banking customers and assisting customers in financial difficulty.

Andy's earlier experience includes working as a Demand Analyst Team Leader at Creative Outsourcing Solutions International from January 2005 to November 2007, where they managed demand and supply chain activities for international contracts. Andy also worked on applying LEAN manufacturing techniques and managing slow-moving and obsolete stock. Before that, Andy served as a Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force from October 2001 to October 2004.

Andy Murtagh MSc MBCS completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Whitehall, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Andy furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing & Business from The Open University, graduating in 2014.
