Mike Auchter

Mike Auchter is a seasoned professional in the theatrical and construction industries, currently serving as a Company Rigger and Consultant at NX5 Theatrical and as the Owner of Mountain Contracting Services since October 2023. With extensive experience as a Journeyman with I.A.T.S.E. 699, Mike specializes in rigging, carpentry, and electrics, having held roles such as Head Flyman and Safety and Training Contractor with Rock Labor. Previous work includes positions as a Project Manager and Carpenter at Firm Foundation Construction, as well as roles at Chicago Scenic Studios and Theater Outsource. Mike's earlier experience encompasses working as a CNC Router Operator for Chris-Craft Corporation and Poly Shop Supervisor at Windward Design Group, Inc. Mike holds a degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and completed secondary education at The Out-of-Door Academy.
