Martin Vejmelka has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Martin is currently serving as the CTO at RockawayX, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to that, Martin worked as a freelance professional starting in February 2020.

In 2020, Martin was also involved in the founding of Hravýlety, where they served as a Co-Founder. Hravýlety is a platform that allows authors to publish interactive stories for parents and small children. Additionally, Martin worked at RapidSOS as a Builder/Operator from March 2020 to March 2021. RapidSOS is a real-time message transport service for emergency health information.

From 2017 to 2020, Martin worked at CEAi, Inc, initially as a Machine Learning and Tech Advisor/Reviewer from September 2019 to June 2020. Martin then transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager and Head of Research from August 2017 to August 2019. Martin's responsibilities at CEAi, Inc included leading the machine learning group, developing disruptive products in challenging industries, and enhancing researchers' skillsets.

Martin also has experience in the cybersecurity field, having served as the VP Threat Labs at Avast Software from June 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Director at Avast Software from January 2016 to May 2016. Before joining Avast, Martin was an Avast Research Fellow at the Institute of Computer Science, Czech Academy of Sciences, where their research focused on malware and virus detection methods, as well as mathematical methods for big data problems.

Martin's earlier career includes positions at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the University of Colorado Denver. At the Academy of Sciences, they worked as a Researcher in the field of complex systems, specializing in designing algorithms for extracting information from large datasets. At the University of Colorado Denver, Martin worked as an Assistant Research Professor, focusing on mathematical methods for data assimilation and fire behavior prediction.

Lastly, Martin Vejmelka began their career as a System Analyst and Core Software Developer at Certicon, a.s. from September 2000 to June 2004. In this role, they developed the Open Prediction System, which utilized machine intelligence for natural gas consumption prediction.

Martin Vejmelka completed their Master's degree in Technical Cybernetics from Czech Technical University in Prague from 2000 to 2005. Martin then went on to obtain their PhD in Biocybernetics and Artificial Intelligence from the same university, which they completed from 2005 to 2009.
