Kyriakos "Rock" Lambros has a long and varied work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Staff Network Security Engineer at eBay, where they led the Network Security team in multiple projects and managed up to $1M including the establishment of a Security Operations Center. In 2011, they moved to General Dynamics Information Technology as a Senior Manager of Information Security, where they were responsible for the global Security and Network Operations Center (SNOC) for a 24,000 user organization spread across 280 locations globally. Kyriakos "Rock" also oversaw Vulnerability Risk Management and FISMA compliance across multiple security boundaries, developed System Security Plans, and established procedures to monitor for Advanced Persistent Threats. In 2013, Lambros joined Agilent Technologies as an Information Security Threat Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing Agilent's Threat Management program. Kyriakos "Rock" also advised executive leadership of evolving threats, vulnerability risks, technology trends in the information security landscape, and outlined recommended courses of action. That same year, Lambros joined Solutions By Design II, LLC as a member of the Corporate Advisory Board, where they provided strategic and technical advisory services for federal government proposal response. In 2014, they became the Information Security Manager at MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P., where they held the most senior Information Security position and was responsible for setting the tone and direction for all aspects of Information Security in the organization. In 2016, they moved to Marathon Petroleum Corporation as the Information Security Manager, where they were responsible for post M&A activity of the IT and OT cybersecurity programs. In 2015, Lambros joined the ISSA Denver Chapter as the Rocky Mountain Information Security Conference Co-Chair. In 2019, they joined Blue Lava, Inc. as an Advisory Board member and in 2020, they joined the National Cybersecurity Center as an Advisor for Secure Smart Cities. In 2018, Lambros founded RockCyber, LLC, a Cybersecurity executive consulting firm specializing in aligning Cybersecurity strategy to organizational business goals.
Kyriakos "Rock" Lambros has a diverse educational background. Kyriakos "Rock" earned their MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University between 2008 and 2010, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship. Before that, they obtained their Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas between 1995 and 1999. Kyriakos "Rock" also attended Ed W. Clark High School and Heritage Christian.
