M Dougherty

M Dougherty is an accomplished professional currently serving as an Apprentice Perfumer at MYTHOLOGIST since August 2023. M Dougherty has extensive experience as a Smell RS Research Consultant at The Rockefeller University since July 2019, contributing to research on biotechnology related to odor discrimination devices. In addition, M Dougherty operates as an Olfactory Artist/Perfumer and serves as a Design Researcher at MyGrow Design, a biofabrication-focused studio. M Dougherty has held various roles including Member of the Board of Directors at Osmocosm and Gender Equity and Inclusion Advisor at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Previous experience includes a Research Technician at the Monell Chemical Senses Center and multiple design roles in freelance and organizational settings. M Dougherty holds a Master’s degree in Interactive Media Arts from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Southern California.
