What We Are Looking For

Well-rounded, entrepreneurial marketer passionate about education with B2C marketing experience, community leadership experience and strong design and communication skills. Education and coding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Rocket Academy's branding and marketing efforts, continually refining Rocket's brand proposition, presentation and marketing strategies
  • Oversee Rocket's community efforts, facilitating gatherings and camaraderie across the international Rocket community
  • Understand Rocket Academy's student profiles, how we support students and how we can address their needs and concerns
  • Understand Rocket Academy's course products, how students and teachers engage with our courses and how our courses fit into students' journeys
  • Understand Rocket Academy's market landscape, opportunities to grow and how we differ from other schools

Requirements

  • Adaptability and flexibility. Rocket Academy is a startup and our needs and priorities can change quickly. We will need you to get your hands dirty in multiple areas, some of which you may not have experience in.
  • Hustle. We are driving toward sustainability as a company and building the best brand in coding education for our students, teachers and alumni. We hope you will enjoy working hard with us!
  • People skills. Rocket Academy is a B2C brand whose community is everything. Our head marketer needs to be close to our customers and continually earn their trust.
  • Experience executing and/or developing B2C marketing plans. Experience understanding customers, presenting value props across websites and social media, and strategising and executing additional marketing channels.
  • Strong design and communication skills. Oversee Rocket's brand design and communication across our website, social media and other marketing channels. Communicate authentically, simply and directly to our audiences in all content, visual and textual.
  • Tech-savviness. Comfortable and quick at learning and using digital tools such as marketing dashboards, website builders, photo and video editors, automation tools and presentation software.
  • Attention to detail. Ensure Rocket's communication is professional, clear and consistent across all channels.
