Nian Fuls

Nian Fuls has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, Nian worked as the Head of Design at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, Nian served as a Development Engineer at the same company from October 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining Rocket Factory Augsburg, Nian worked at ADG Mobility (Pty) Ltd as the Engineering Systems Administrator and Senior Designer from November 2016 to September 2020. In this role, Nian was responsible for establishing and managing a fully integrated PLM and CAD system for the company, as well as managing data integrity and security.

Prior to ADG Mobility, Nian worked as a Contractor - Senior Mechanical Designer at LMT Products (Pty) Ltd from July 2015 to November 2016. Here, Nian was involved in mechanical engineering projects related to military armoured vehicles, including creative concept design and detail design.

During 2014 and 2015, Nian worked as the Technical Services Manager at CAD House. In this role, Nian provided 3D scanning services and was responsible for 3D printer, scanner, and software sales.

From 2012 to 2014, Nian was the Director of NF 3D Creations (Pty) Ltd, offering 3D scanning and reverse engineering services. Nian's responsibilities included meeting with clients, preparing quotations, and processing 3D data to produce CAD models.

Prior to starting NF 3D Creations, Nian worked at LMT Products (Pty) Ltd from April 2002 to November 2014. In various roles such as Manager, Senior Mechanical Designer, and Systems Integrator, Nian was involved in creative concept design and detail design for military armoured vehicles.

In addition to the engineering field, Nian also worked briefly as a Lecturer at the Academy of Drafting in 2003, where Nian developed curriculum and course material and provided AutoCAD training.

Nian's early work experience includes being a Freelance Musician, specifically a drummer and percussionist, from 1997 to 2002, as well as being an Entrepreneur at Alternative Steel and Leather from 1997 to 2001.

Nian Fuls attended Higher Technical School (HTS) John Vorster from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Senior Higher Certificate (Matric) with university admission in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Following this, in 2003, they attended the Academy of Drafting and received a Certificate in High Tech Draughting. From 2006 to 2008, Nian Fuls pursued Engineering Studies at Technicol SA and successfully completed a National Diploma (N6).
