Daniel Derkacs

Daniel Derkacs is a Senior Scientist at Rocket Lab, where they focus on product and business development in the field of device physics. They previously held positions at Spire Semiconductor as a Solar Cell Device Physicist, and at Solar Junction as the Manager of Solar Cell Design, where they contributed to two world-record breaking multijunction solar cells. Derkacs earned a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of California, San Diego, where they also obtained a Master’s degree, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, graduating summa cum laude.
