Derek Wong

Derek Wong has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Derek started their career as a Recreation Aide at the City of Oakland Parks and Recreation in 2013 and worked there until 2015. In 2016, they interned as a Data Analysis Intern at Abaxis, Inc. Derek then gained experience as a Marketing Intern at Locable in 2017. In the same year, they also worked as a Business Associate at Socotra Capital. In 2018, Derek worked as a Talent Acquisition Associate at TalentHerder. In 2019, they joined Triplebyte as a Recruiting Sourcer. Most recently, they have been working at Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) since 2020. Derek started as a Technical Sourcer and is currently serving as a Sourcing Lead.

Derek Wong obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Davis in 2018. Before attending the university, they received their High School Diploma from Oakland Military Institute. Derek also has additional certifications including an Inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy which they obtained in July 2017, and a CPR certification obtained in June 2013 from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
