Omar Alvarez Pando

Omar Alvarez Pando has a diverse work experience in various industries. Omar is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Rocket Money (formerly Truebill), starting in November 2022. Previously, they worked at Genscape, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Tech Lead and Principal Software Engineer. At Genscape, they developed customer-facing software features/products and followed software development lifecycle practices. Omar also worked as a Mechanic at Algood Food Company from May 2009 to July 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Developer at Xcellence Realty from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they held the position of Development Team Lead at Peugeot, where they created a system to track customer satisfaction. Omar started their career as a Software Developer at the University of Informatics Science, where they developed an application for registering and controlling real estate and companies in Venezuela.

Omar Alvarez Pando attended CIMAT (Center for Research in Mathematics) from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued studies in Computer Science. Omar did not obtain a degree during this period. Additionally, Omar studied Computer Engineering and Computer Science at Havana University, although the specific dates of their enrollment are unknown.

Omar has also obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In April 2014, they became a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer in Web Applications and a Microsoft Specialist in C#. In February 2014, they achieved the designation of a Microsoft Certified Professional.
