Senior Project Manager – Partner Controls And Compliance

About the Role: 

Rocket Travel by Agoda is looking for a Senior Project Manager – Partner Controls and Compliance to join our growing Partner Success/Enterprise team. The Senior Project Manager – Partner Controls and Compliance plays an essential role in safeguarding the interests and enhancing the success of both partners and our shared customers by navigating, monitoring and gatekeeping the complex and evolving partner requirements, which can range from contractual obligations, to onboarding risk assessments, to regulatory compliance.

As a Senior Project Manager – Partner Controls and Compliance, you will be an integral part of our Partnerships team, dedicating your expertise to ensuring rigorous compliance with the various partner controls and obligations. You will be a valued business advisor across various departments, offering insights on enhancing processes, managing risks effectively, and tackling other critical tasks identified by our teams. Your primary responsibility will be to manage partner obligations and report out on those controls in place for our strategic partnerships (namely with our most sophisticated and high-regulated partners). This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and success of our partnerships.

As a Senior Project Manager – Partner Controls and Compliance at Rocket Travel by Agoda, you will: 

• Oversee comprehensive activities and obligations tied to our partnership agreements, including handling compliance queries, conducting assessments, and managing attestations.
• Serve as the chief coordinator for all external partner audit activities, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and follow-up on all audit-related tasks and remediation strategies.
• Organize and maintain all compliance-related documentation, creating a centralized hub for easy access and reference.
• Design and implement an annual compliance calendar, ensuring its widespread adoption across Rocket Travel by Agoda. This will include coordinating with various departments to ensure support and alignment on compliance activities every quarter.
• Lead the planning and implementation of risk assessments and audit projects to identify and address any compliance gaps or vulnerabilities.
• Create, deploy, and oversee innovative processes aimed at monitoring and ensuring Rocket Travel's adherence to its contractual commitments with our partners. This includes the development of tools and systems for ongoing oversight.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Project Manager to design and implement strategies for detecting and preventing non-compliance, thereby reducing operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
• Analyze current business practices in light of existing policies and regulations, recommending adjustments to enhance compliance posture in response to evolving business needs.
• Diligently monitor compliance initiatives, ensuring timely follow-through and update of all compliance-related actions and the effective management of internal controls.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, crafting messages that resonate with different audiences, from team members to senior executives, fostering a culture of compliance and integrity.

We are looking for someone who embodies the following:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• You have 5+ years of working in a corporate environment with experience in audit, compliance management, risk management and/or process improvements. Experience working with or for technology or financial services companies is preferred. 
• You possess practical knowledge of internal control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with information security protocols, banking regulations, and operational standards is a plus.
• Your organizational prowess and ability to steer projects from inception through to successful closure are unparalleled. A knack for spotting risks and preemptively addressing them is crucial, and a certification in project management is a welcomed bonus.
• You are able to appropriately prioritize initiatives with competing priorities and resources. 
• You thrive in fast-paced settings, adept at meeting tight deadlines, handling uncertainties, and resolving conflicts.
• Your presentation skills enable you to win trust and influence decision-makers at all levels, both within and outside the organization.
