Calvet Liburd Jr.

Calvet Liburd Jr. has extensive experience in educational operations, currently serving as the Regional Director of Operations at Rocketship Public Schools since August 2021, after previously holding the position of Business Operations Manager. Prior to this role, Calvet worked at DC Prep from June 2015 to August 2021 as Operations Manager, and at Sela Public Charter School as Director of Operations from August 2014 to June 2015. Experience also includes a tenure at Playworks as Interim Executive Director/Program Director, National Trainer, and Program Director from March 2008 to July 2014, alongside roles at Sports4Kids as Area Director/Program Manager and Site Coordinator. Earlier career experience includes being a Player Development Assistant and Player Development Intern at the National Basketball Association from 2001 to 2007. Calvet holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Morgan State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University.
