Katie LaPira, CEFL, is a seasoned professional in community engagement and education, currently serving as the Coordinator of Community Engagement for Rockingham County Public Schools since July 2021. Previously, Katie was the Executive Director of Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. from December 2015 to July 2021, where support was provided to the Board of Directors to enhance financial resources for teachers and students. Prior experience includes the role of PK-12 Engagement Coordinator at James Madison University and Office Manager at Montessori of Mount Pleasant, where school operations and compliance were administered. Additionally, Katie spent seven years as the Executive Director of the Education Section and Student Assembly at the American Physical Therapy Association, organizing large-scale conferences and managing various logistical aspects. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
