Ashari James

Ashari James has a strong background in academic support services, starting in 2009 as an Administration Service and Finance Intern at Virginia State University. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Direct Support Professional at AHRC Nassau. Ashari then moved on to LaGuardia Community College, where they held various roles including Administrative Data & Resource Coordinator and ASAP Academic Student Advisor. Most recently, Ashari worked as the Director of Academic Support Services at Rockland Community College, where they oversaw comprehensive academic support services programming and collaborated with academic areas and advising services to support student learning and success.

Ashari James completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Virginia State University from 2007 to 2011. From 2014 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree specializing in General Studies at Baruch College.
