Débora Vidal

Débora Vidal has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role as Vice President at the ACM, Association for Computing Machinery. Débora also served as the President of the Computer Science Club at Rockland Community College, where they conducted training sessions and workshops on software development. Débora is an Honor Member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. Prior to their involvement in computer science, they worked as a Special Education Teacher at Desenrola Desenvolvimento Infantil, where they formulated individualized pedagogical programs and adjusted teaching styles to meet the needs of students. During their gap year as an exchange student at Cultural Care Au Pair, Débora managed homeschooling for children and utilized various virtual learning software platforms. Additionally, they worked as a Scholarship Holder at CAPES, where they taught underprivileged children how to read and write using digital resources.

Débora Vidal holds a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from Centro Universitário do Leste de Minas Gerais, which they completed from 2015 to 2018. Débora then pursued a specialization in Psychopedagogy at the Child Behaviour Institute of Miami from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they are pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at Rockland Community College, which they are expected to complete from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, Débora has obtained certifications in "The Opportunity of Bilingualism: Serving Today's Young English Language Learners" from Harvard University Graduate School of Education in 2020, "Teaching Critical Thinking through Art with the National Gallery of Art" from edX in 2020, and "Certificate in Child Development" from Long Island University in 2019.
