Palinda Perera

Palinda Perera is a dedicated professional in the field of corporate responsibility and environmental management, currently serving as a Specialist in Corporate Responsibility at Rockland Distilleries (Pvt) Ltd since January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Research Coordinator at the Marine Environment Protection Authority in Sri Lanka, focusing on environmental impact reporting related to the MV X-Press Pearl incident. From June 2017 to August 2021, Palinda effectively managed Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, ensuring compliance with CSR directives and ISO 14001 certification. Previous positions include Head of Sustainability at Tree of Life Nature Resort Kandy, Project Coordinator at Carbon Consulting Company, and Program Manager at the Center for Sustainability, all emphasizing a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental management. Academically, Palinda holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Colombo, along with several relevant certifications in sustainability and biodiversity.
