Fernando Martinez Diez

Fernando Martinez Diez has extensive experience in operations and supply chain management. Fernando recently worked as the Director of Operations at Rockland Manufacturing Company. Prior to this, they held various roles at Caterpillar Inc., including Supply Chain Manager, Technical Services Manager, Engineering Manager and Advisor, Factory Manager, and Technical Services Manager. In these roles, they oversaw global supply chains, managed manufacturing facilities, developed manufacturing strategies, and guided the transformation of operations. Fernando also managed R&D programs and co-developed products and services with external suppliers.

Fernando Martinez Diez has an extensive education history in various fields. Fernando first attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Fernando pursued further education at the Colorado School of Mines from 2000 to 2004. During this time, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering. Fernando also obtained a Diploma in Humanities from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in 2000.

In 2001, Fernando obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from Secretaría de Educación Pública. Fernando furthered their education by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2008 to 2010.

Recently, from 2018 to 2021, Fernando attended the EGADE Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they pursued an Executive Education program focusing on Organizational Leadership and Strategic Business Management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Fernando has obtained several certifications. Fernando became a Visual Inspector through The American Society for Nondestructive Testing in 2004 and a Certified Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society in 2000.
