Alastair Ironside

Alastair Ironside has a diverse professional background spanning over four decades. Alastair currently holds multiple roles at Rockland Trust, including Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, President and Chair of Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, and Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to their time at Rockland Trust, Ironside was a Cheesemonger at Allium Market in 2019. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an ESC Consultant at Empower Success Corps, assisting nonprofit clients with strategy, structure, and management. Ironside also has extensive experience in the corporate sector, having held various leadership positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Bank of America, Citizens Bank, FleetBoston Financial, Signet Banking Corp, and Barclays Bank. Alastair'sroles in these organizations ranged from Director of Corporate Strategy & Research to SVP of Banking Products Executive. Ironside's expertise in marketing, strategy, and financial services has positioned him as a valuable asset in the industry.

Alastair Ironside attended the University of Cambridge from 1980 to 1983, where they studied Law & Modern Languages. Alastair also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career, including Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online in 2019, Associate in Personal Insurance (API) from The Institutes in 2018, and Elements of Artificial Intelligence from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor in 2018. Alastair obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) certification from The Institutes in 2016 and became certified to administer Myers Briggs assessments (MBTI®) in 2003 from OKA (Otto Kroeger Associates). Additionally, Alastair earned the Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (now IFS) in 1985 from the Institute of Financial Services.
