Troy Tamas

Troy Tamas has extensive experience in the field of design automation and engineering. Troy currently holds the position of Director of Design Automation and Enablement at Rockley Photonics Inc., where they have been working since November 2021. Before that, Troy served as a Principal Engineer in Design Automation at Rockley Photonics Inc. starting from April 2020. Prior to joining Rockley Photonics Inc., they worked as a Senior Photonics Design Automation Engineer at the same company from April 2019 to April 2020.

In 2016, Troy joined Juniper Networks as a Hardware Engineer, where they contributed to the company's projects until April 2019. Before that, they worked at Aurrion as a PDK Development Engineer from May 2015 to August 2016.

Earlier in their career, Troy had an engineering role at Samsung Electro-Mechanics Japan Advanced Technology, where they developed a simulation and optimization suite for fluid dynamic bearings in hard disk drive motors. Troy worked with the company from August 2010 to May 2015.

Troy also gained experience as a Team Mentor at MIT Toy Lab for a few months in 2010, mentoring college freshmen in the design of outdoor toys.
