Alex Piper

Alex Piper is a senior associate with RMI’s US Program. On the federal policy team, Alex focuses on clean hydrogen and industrial decarbonization policy.

Alex was previously the senior legislative assistant for Congressman Peter Welch (VT), handling his energy, environment, and agriculture portfolio. Prior to that, Alex worked for Senator Patrick Leahy (VT) on the same issues. In 2016, Alex served as a community organizer in Ohio on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

He holds BA, Political Science (concentration in Public Policy) from Kenyon College.
