Folawiyo Aminu

Fola is an associate with RMI’s Africa Energy Program, where he helps accelerate affordable, reliable, and clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently working on scaling utility-enabled renewable energy solutions and productive uses of minigrid electricity in agriculture in Nigeria.

Prior to RMI, Fola was the development and sales engineering manager at Infranergy, where he developed a 50MW project portfolio of utility-scale, embedded, and off-grid solar and energy storage projects. He served as the technical lead providing technical advisory, project evaluation, and monitoring of projects and deals worth $15 million at All On Partnerships for Energy Access. Fola also held various roles in energy systems operations, maintenance, and micro-grid application engineering at utility and energy companies in Nigeria, Turkey, and the United States.
