Jale Samuwai

Jale Samuwai, Ph.D., currently serves as the Pacific Regional CFAN Manager at RMI since May 2023. Previously held the position of Climate Change Advisor at the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency from September 2022 to April 2023 and worked as a consultant for Tetra Tech in December 2022, focusing on private sector climate finance in the Pacific. From September 2021 to October 2022, Jale was a Risk Financing Analyst at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, contributing to the PREP project funded by the World Bank. Jale's experience also includes roles as a Regional Program Evaluator with Global 21 Consulting, Interim Economic Justice Lead, and Climate Finance Advisor for Oxfam, along with various consulting positions related to climate finance and research. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Climate Change and two degrees in Accounting from The University of the South Pacific.
