Michael Huffman

Michael is a senior associate with RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, supporting the decarbonization of the chemical and refining industries. He focuses on promoting sustainable manufacturing practices and accelerating low-carbon projects to implementation.

Prior to joining RMI, Michael worked in various engineering roles within the energy industry, including carbon capture R&D, facility engineering at Chevron, and EPC design for upstream assets for a decade. He recently obtained his master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, studying machine learning to better understand the role big data will play in the energy transition.
