Manager, China Program at RMI

Mingming Wang is the manager for rural carbon neutrality within RMI’s China Program, Molly currently leads the organization’s efforts in driving the equitable transition in China’s rural and agricultural sectors to facilitate the country’s climate pledge. With equity at heart, her work focuses on accelerating rural energy transition and climate actions while advancing rural development and other equity agenda such as food security, environmental safety, and climate resilience.

Building a healthy, equal, and inclusive society through climate actions has always been the center of Molly’s past work. She led carbon reduction at a large local authority in the United Kingdom, managing municipal and residential building energy retrofit, green transportation, and renewable projects to decarbonize the community, alleviate fuel poverty, and improve community services. Prior to RMI, Molly worked as a senior manager at the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, where she engaged and supported dozens of leading cities across the globe to develop carbon-neutral, resilient, and inclusive climate action plans, including the 14th Five-Year Plans on climate change in various Chinese megacities.
