Nabil is a manager with RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program focused on catalyzing the clean hydrogen economy. His work at RMI includes providing strategic advisory support to regional hydrogen hubs, demonstrating the feasibility of import/export corridors, and designing novel counterparty arrangements to facilitate project development.
Nabil is an energy and finance industry professional with 15 years of experience in corporate strategy and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. He spent the majority of his career as an investment banker at Piper Sandler and BMO Capital markets, working on every aspect of structuring financial transactions. This experience includes three first-of-a-kind projects in the clean energy economy: the first prepaid solar electricity transaction in the United States, financing for the first facility for an innovative closed-loop plastic recycling technology, and a public-private partnership for the first modular nuclear reactor in the United States.
Nabil was most recently the department manager of the Corporate Development group at Con Edison, where he primarily focused on reformulating the company’s nonregulated clean energy business strategy and leading the development of the regulated utility’s low-carbon fuel strategy.
