Tyler Farrell

Tyler is a senior associate in RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program, working with the Clean Competitive Grids team. He is interested in finding market solutions to accelerate progress to 100% carbon-free energy in an affordable, equitable, reliable, and sustainable pathway.

Before joining RMI, Tyler was a strategy consultant in the energy sector at Analysis Group in Boston. He has extensive experience in resolving challenging issues faced by clients, ranging from utilities to independent system operators. He conducted economic impact analyses related to wholesale, ancillary services, forward capacity, carbon credit allowance, and cost-of-service markets. He designed and ran simulations of large-scale energy system networks to predict operational reliability and cost to consumers, including developing a capacity expansion model to evaluate the impact of various deep decarbonization policies in ISO New England.
