Tech Lead Embedded at ROCSYS

Maher Sallam has a diverse work experience in software engineering and embedded systems. Maher is currently working at ROCSYS as a Tech Lead Embedded since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company since March 2020. Before joining ROCSYS, Maher worked at Priva as a Leading Professional - Embedded Engineer from January 2019 to March 2020, and as an Embedded Software Engineer from November 2016 to December 2018. Maher also worked at Plaxis BV as a Software Engineer from October 2015 to October 2016, where they developed a compiler for converting mathematical equations written in Python. Maher gained experience in distributed simulation systems as a Software Engineer at Altran from October 2014 to September 2015, where they worked on the development of a simulator for trains and their infrastructure called BITS. In addition, Maher also worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at TU Delft, where they developed a storage system for the DelFFi space mission as a graduation project. Maher started their professional career at Brightsight bv as a Software Engineer, where they developed control software for a microscopy setup and implemented a 3D scanning algorithm. Maher also developed an iPhone application for classifying human motions in Parkinson patients during their tenure as a Software Engineer at Sophia Revalidatie.

Maher Sallam began their education journey in 2011 at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology in the field of Computer Engineering. Maher dedicated three years to this program, completing it in 2014. The following year, in 2013, Maher enrolled in the Transition Program at Delft University of Technology, specializing in Computer Engineering for their master's degree. This program lasted for one year, concluding in 2014.
