Rodale Institute
Yichao Rui is an accomplished academic and researcher in agroecology and soil sciences, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Purdue University since September 2022. Rui has significant experience, including roles as a Soil Scientist and Research Director for the Farming Systems Trial at Rodale Institute since April 2019, and previously as an Assistant Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from July 2017 to March 2019. Prior research contributions include a post-doctoral position at The University of Western Australia, where significant involvement in the National Soil Carbon Program and field-based experiments enhanced expertise in environmental sampling and analysis. Rui also gained collaborative experience as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Educational qualifications include Ph.D. degrees from Griffith University in Soil Sciences and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Microbial Ecology, along with a Bachelor's Degree from Nankai University in Biology.
