Øistein Mjærum

Øistein Mjærum has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Øistein began their career as a Political Advisor and assistant press spokesman at the Office of The Prime Minister from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they worked as a Consultant and researcher at Aschehoug Publishing House in 2006. Øistein then served as Chief of Staff at The Oslo Center from 2006 to 2010, where they later transitioned to the role of Special Advisor / Deputy Director until 2010.

From 2010 onwards, Mjærum has held multiple positions at various organizations. Øistein was a Member of the board at The Association of NGOs in Norway (Frivillighet Norge) from 2010 to 2011. In the same year, they became the Chief of Staff at Norwegian Red Cross, before transitioning to the role of Head of Corporate Relations and CSR in 2011. Øistein later became the Director of Communications and Fundraising, and ultimately the Director of Communications, Policy, and IHL at Norwegian Red Cross in 2018.

Mjærum has also served as a Vice President of the Board at The Norwegian Fundraising Association from 2013 to 2015. During this time, they also became a Board Member at The Norwegian Sponsoring and Event Association, contributing to the understanding and promotion of sponsoring and events as marketing tools until 2019.

Additionally, they served as a Board Member at Norsk Pantelotteri AS from 2017 to 2020. Lastly, Øistein Mjærum volunteered as the Election Campaign Manager for Knut Arild Hareide in 2009, responsible for strategic planning, social media, messaging, policy, and PR for the parliamentary election campaign.
