Radi Masri is an Associate Professor in both the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and School of Medicine. He is the Principal Investigator of a federally funded research laboratory that studies the etiology and treatment of chronic pain and develops novel technology to improve dental therapy. Both programs are funded by prestigious NIH R01 research grants. Dr. Masri received his first dental degree (BDS) from the University of Jordan Dental School in 1997 and completed a prosthodontic residency at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Masri has a Master's degree in oral biology and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and a Member of the Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Masri serves as an examiner for the American Board of Prosthodontics, and as Associate Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Masri is the recipient of numerous honors, including the BioMaryland LIFE Prize Award for the most promising invention in 2015, and the American College of Prosthodontists Clinician/Researcher Award to recognize his outstanding contributions to the welfare and advancement of the College and/or specialty of Prosthodontics. Dr. Masri brings a unique combination of innovation, academic excellence, and clinical expertise to the Scientific Advisory Board.
