Martin Kraemer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Martin began their career in 1991 at Bayer Korea, where they worked in internal audit and later became the Executive Director of Corporate Management. From 1997 to 2000, Kraemer was the Head of Finance, Accounting, and Controlling at DyStar Textilfarben. Martin then joined Bayer AG, where they served as the Stabsleitung GB Chemikalien from 2000 to 2002. At Bayer, they also held the role of Head of Marketing from 2002 to 2003.
Kraemer then transitioned to LANXESS Chemical, where they worked from 2003 to 2013. During their time at LANXESS, they held various positions, including CEO Greater China, CFO Greater China, and Head of Treasury. Martin was also a project team member involved in setting up LANXESS.
In 2013, Kraemer moved to Evonik Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., where they served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Business Unit Performance Polymers Asia/Pacific until 2014. Martin then joined Evonik Industries AG as the SVP and Head of Business Line Acrylic Polymers from 2015 to 2016.
From 2016 to 2019, Kraemer held the position of SVP and Head of Business Line Acrylic Products at Evonik, where they oversaw the production and marketing of brands like PLEXIGLAS and ACRYLITE. Most recently, they joined Röhm in 2019, initially as the SVP and Head of BL Acrylics Products before becoming the Chief Financial Officer in October 2019. In August 2020, they took on additional responsibilities as the Arbeitsdirektor at Röhm. The end dates for some of their positions are not provided.
Martin Kraemer attended the University of Cologne from 1986 to 1991. In 2003, they also briefly studied at INSEAD and obtained an IEP degree.
