E K Kim

Senior Principal Engineer/innovator at Rogers Corporation

E K Kim has a range of work experience in engineering roles. They started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Seoul National University in 1997, followed by a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from 1999 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Sr. Process Engineer at Applied Materials, where their responsibilities included developing hard mask materials and antireflective coatings. They then moved on to work as a Senior Lithography Process Development Engineer at Spansion from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Sun Microsystems as an MTS. From 2010 to 2016, they worked as a Principal Hardware Engineer at Oracle, where they played a leading role in prototype fabrication and process optimization. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Principal Engineer/Innovator at Rogers Corporation.

E K Kim holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, which was completed between 1999 and 2005. Prior to that, Kim obtained an MS in Chemical Technology from Seoul National University, which was completed between 1996 and 1998. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology from Seoul National University, achieved between 1990 and 1996.
