Joshua Hicks has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency medical services and event management. Joshua started their career in 2009 as a Tactical Paramedic and Paramedic at Washington County Johnson City EMS, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also served as a Paramedic at CARTER COUNTY EMERGENCY & RESCUE SQUAD INC from 2019 to 2020. In 2014, Hicks took on the role of Medical Team Lead at the CrossFit Games. Joshua then moved on to work as the Director of the Medical Team for Frameworks Events at Rogue Fitness from 2019 onwards. Prior to that, they were the Director of the Medical Team for Live & Loud Events and Entertainment starting in 2018. Recently, in 2023, Hicks joined Teir 1 Training as a Fitness Coach. Throughout their career, Hicks has demonstrated their expertise in operational and logistical management, creating and implementing emergency plans, and coordinating with outside services. Joshua also has experience as a Flight Paramedic at Wellmont One from 2016 to 2017.
Joshua Hicks attended Northeast State Community College from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a degree in Technology with a field of study in Applied Science Paramedic. Previously, they completed their high school education at Unaka High School from 1998 to 2002, earning an Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma. In addition to their academic qualifications, Joshua Hicks holds additional certifications such as the National Registered Paramedic (NRP) obtained in August 2010 from the Northeast State Technical Community College Foundation, and the Tennessee State Paramedic obtained in March 2020 from the TN Dept of Health.
