Martin Holeček has worked in various positions since 2004. Martin began their career as a Service Center Operator at Univerzita Hradec Králové. In 2006, they were a Training Materials Designer at GMC Software Technology. In 2008, they were an AVG Technical Support Specialist at Teleperformance. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Localisation Specialist at Ubisoft and an ESL Teacher at King's International English. In 2012, they were also a GROW Project Instructor at The School of Values. From 2013 to 2015, they were a High School English Teacher at Bashu Secondary School. From 2015 to 2019, they were an English Teacher at the Chonqing Dazhong Foreign Language Education Center, where they motivated and engaged primary school students with English language, introduced and delivered specific skills to high school students, and guided Winter and Summer camp intensive courses for gifted students. Since 2021, they have been a L2 IT Support Specialist at Rohlik.cz.
Martin Holeček obtained an MA in Chinese International Education from Chongqing Normal University between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they studied Chinese language at Sichuan International Studies University between 2015 and 2016. From 2003 to 2011, they studied Information Management at the University of Hradec Králové and completed an abroad study in Management and Business Administration at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 2008. Martin also holds several certifications, including a Learning How To Learn Certificate from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in June 2019, an HSK V - Level 5 Chinese language proficiency certificate from Confucius Institute Online obtained in June 2017, an HSKK 中 - Intermediate level Chinese language speaking proficiency certificate from Confucius Institute Online obtained in March 2017, a TEFL from i-to-i TEFL obtained in September 2016, a Shaping the Way We Teach English, 2: Paths to Success in ELT Certificate from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in May 2015, and a Shaping the Way We Teach English, 1: The Landscape of English Language Teaching Certificate from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in May 2014.
