Steve Cormie

Steve Cormie has extensive experience in software engineering and product management, currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Roku Inc. since April 2021, following the acquisition of the Nielsen Advanced Video Advertising group. Previously, Steve held the role of SVP Product & Engineering at Nielsen from February 2019 to April 2021, where Nielsen acquired Sorenson Media. At Sorenson Media, Steve progressed through several leadership roles from August 2013 to February 2019, including EVP Product & Engineering. Prior experience includes positions at Xumo, Move Networks, Cantatis Limited, XiO Digital Limited, Pace, Element 14, and Online Media, with notable leadership roles in product management and technical direction. Steve holds a B.Sc.Hons. in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University, graduated in 1988.
