David J.

David J. has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. David began their career as a Senior Compliance Lead at VMC, where they oversaw a team of testers and tested various games against Microsoft's standards. David then joined SEGA Europe Limited as a Compliance/Mobile QA Lead, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure game releases meet SEGA Standards and 1st Party Requirements. After that, they worked at Curve Digital as a Release Manager, managing relationships with digital storefronts and coordinating the release of titles. David J. also had freelance work experience as a 2D/3D Artist and Animator before joining Roll7 as a Quality Assurance Lead. David later became the Head of QA at Roll7, taking ownership of all QA activities and collaborating with other department heads. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Sea Shanty Consultant/Vocalist and Voice Over Artist.

David J. has a diverse education history that spans various fields of study. In 1998 to 2005, they attended Hampton School, where they focused on Sport and Exercise Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Music. David then pursued further education by attending Train2Game (TIGA) from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Diploma (City & Guilds) in QA Tester & Level Designer. During this same period, from 2016 to 2017, they also studied Sport Governance and Administration, earning an Advanced Certificate from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.

In 2018, David attended Activia Training and obtained a certification in Microsoft Excel Advanced. Additionally, in 2019, they pursued an Intermediate Course in Coaching others to coach at The Open University, resulting in the attainment of a Badge.

Alongside their formal education, David has also obtained several certifications. In 2008, they became a Level 5 Kickboxing Instructor through Gbmaa Cobham Llp. David later acquired Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills by completing a certification program at Activia Training Ltd in March 2018. Finally, in July 2023, they obtained expertise in Surveys and Questionnaires for UX Projects through a LinkedIn course.
