Eileen Valdez Sphr

Eileen Valdez, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Eileen began their career as a Branch Manager at Kelly Services in 1983, where they gained valuable experience in managing full-service offices and recruiting centers. Eileen later joined Merit Resource Inc in 1997 as a Sales Account Executive, specializing in human resources outsourcing. During their time at Merit Resource Inc, they helped clients streamline their non-revenue generating activities such as benefits, worker's compensation, human resources, and payroll. In 2007, Eileen transitioned to the role of a Talk Show Host at KWKY 1150 am, hosting programs on Iowa Catholic Radio and conducting interviews on various topics. Finally, in 2011, Eileen assumed the position of Director of Human Resources at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Des Moines. With their expertise and certifications, Eileen has played a crucial role in managing the human resources functions of the Diocese.

Eileen Valdez, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business with a minor in Human Resources from Upper Iowa University. Eileen attended the university from 1989 to 1992.

In terms of additional certifications, Eileen obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in December 1996. Eileen also obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in June 2015. Most recently, in November 2018, Eileen obtained the SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI again.
