Paul Gibbs has extensive work experience in engineering, particularly in the field of drivetrain and gearbox design for wind turbines. From 2008 to 2010, Paul held the position of Concept Design Technical Lead, where they led a small team in creating gearbox concept designs and provided technical support to the sales team. Paul began their career at Romax Technology as a Design Analyst, where they used various software and calculation methods to create concept designs for wind turbine gearboxes. Prior to joining Romax Technology, Paul worked as an Engineer at Lloyd's Register Rail Europe from 2006 to 2008.

Paul Gibbs has a strong educational background in the field of engineering. Paul obtained their undergraduate degree, a first-class MEng, in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and pursued a PhD in Advanced Modelling of Sports Footwear from 2003 to 2006.
