Sandy Christensen, MPA, CAE, CDME has over two decades of experience in finance and administration. Sandy is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Operations at Meet Minneapolis, a role they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, Sandy served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Meet Minneapolis from May 2016.

Before joining Meet Minneapolis, Sandy worked for the City of Minneapolis as the Deputy CFO/Director of Enterprise Financial Management. In this role, they were responsible for directing the annual budget process for a $1.2 billion enterprise budget and managing debt financing for General Obligation bond issuance. Sandy held this position from September 2012 to May 2016.

Sandy also served as the Finance Director for the City of West St. Paul from July 2008 to August 2012, and as the Budget Director for Dakota County from August 1999 to August 2007.

With their extensive experience in finance and administration, Sandy Christensen brings a strong financial acumen to their current role as Senior Vice President at Meet Minneapolis.

Sandy Christensen, MPA, CAE, CDME has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Hamline University, which was obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business-Economics from the University of Minnesota Morris between 1989 and 1991. Additionally, they attended Haverford College from 1987 to 1989, although their degree and field of study during that time are unknown.

Furthermore, Sandy Christensen acquired the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in January 2023.
